ABOUT PRO-LINE

Founded in 1978, Pro-Line, headquartered in Haverhill, Massachusetts, is the recognized leader in ergonomic workbench design. The company is credited with producing one of the first hand-crank, height-adjustable tables in 1987: the model EL, still available today. Pro-Line ensures that all of its products are not only high quality but ergonomically sound, making workers less fatigued and more productive.

Pro-Line offers two workbench product groups. The Pro-Line Series products are typical of general industrial and business operations. Pro-Line workstations and workbenches offer enhanced modularity to maximize production line and packaging flexibilities and accommodate future needs. Applications include production assembly of piece goods at individual or conveyorized workstations; diagnostic repair at ECN stations; packaging and mailroom workstations and workbenches; computer LAN stations; wire harness fabrication; ergonomic material handling equipment to lift, slide or orient heavy components; ergonomic seating; and more. Many models are in stock and ready to ship in five days or less.

The company’s Pro-Lab Series workbenches add extensive casework (cabinets and pedestal units with drawers, doors) as well as modular laboratory bench options for biotechnology businesses, schools and laboratories. Clean-room workbenches are also part of the Pro-Lab series and provide controlled environments for the most sensitive tasks.

Precision Link Conveyors

Precision Link Conveyor systems are utilized for assembly processes that require several steps and for these steps to be performed in a linear fashion, essentially saving on floor space.

Our standard precision link conveyors provide a very accurate positioning from station to station (guaranteed +/- 0.04 mm at the drive end and +/- 0.07 mm at the opposite end, regardless of length). This accuracy is held in all directions and is achieved by the hardened guideways that run along each side of the precision indexing conveyor system.

Our LFA precision link conveyor systems have much higher load capacities compared to other manufacturers of similar systems. This is due to our lightweight aluminum links that are manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum. The light weight aluminum links gives the customer the ability to index at higher speeds.

Our standard LFA precision link conveyors have a unique profile at the opposite end of the drive system to allow for much higher indexing speeds without increasing vibrations in the system. This special profile allows for the cam followers on each link to be in contact with the cam plate at all times as they rotate around, which allows for a very smooth operation.

Tailored Electric Press Work Solutions

The Promess Electric Press Work Station is a stand-alone unit with an integrated Promess Electro Mechanical Assembly Press (EMAP). The EMAP is a programmable motion-controlled ball screw press with integrated motion control and monitoring.  Promess offers 33 press sizes with capacities ranging from less than an ounce to over 200,000 pounds.  The Work Station is designed to meet your specific application needs, and Promess offers various standard floor and table top stations to fit your needs.

The Work Station provides a mobile and readily accessible foundation for assembly, test, and lab applications. Being fully electric and energy-efficient, it also contributes to a cleaner work environment, which is not possible with traditional workstations.

To find the perfect Work Station configuration for your application, schedule a visit to the Promess facility or send in your parts for assessment. There is a range of Work Station configurations available on-site for viewing, and the Promess Process Development Center can help validate your process. Contact Promess today for more information on the Electric Press Work Station.

Attach “smart wheels” to your existing carts and structures.

The world’s first autonomous wheels for use in material handling applications has been introduced to US manufacturers by manufacturing improvement company Rhino Tool house.

Wheel.Me’s Genius 2 is a set of autonomous wheels that transform existing carts and other structures into self-driving robots, relieving businesses from manual labor while enhancing efficiency and productivity.

Traditional automation technologies, such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), help automate material handling but remain expensive and inflexible. They require high upfront investments and take months to be deployed.

Genius 2 costs a third of the price of traditional technologies and can be deployed 2x faster than AGVs and allows for integration with existing infrastructure.

Genius 2 is deployed in sets of four or eight wheels, with one wheel acting as the central “brain”, leading and synchronizing with the other wheels. Its key technological features help you with:
    • Increased productivity:
    • Cost savings:
    • Flexible Scalability:
    • Enhanced safety:
    • Quick deployment:

Rhino Tool House is a family of brands dedicated to quality, safety, productivity, and innovation. Our goals are simple; make manufacturing easier, smarter, and more efficient.

SAFE-START FUNCTION

Cross-threaded fasteners can cause significant damage to crucial components, often leaving little room for repair. Despite the existence of technologies that can identify and rectify a cross-threaded situation, many manufacturers still opt to manually start fasteners. The HFC3000II and Micro-Nutrunner platform from MC Fastening Solutions (produced by Daiichi Dentsu) possess the ability to eliminate this manual requirement.

The Safe-Start Function is a feature of this tool that actively monitors the fastener as it counter-rotates on the workpiece. The tool, with the fastener preloaded into the socket, rotates in the loosening direction. This continues until the tool’s pulse technology detects a consistent and distinct vibration of the screw rolling from the top of the thread down to the thread below on the workpiece.

The pulse detected by the tool must be both consistent and distinct. A distinct pulse indirectly indicates that the tool is aligned with the threads to correct thread misalignment. This prevents side load, a common cause of cross-threading and additional tool wear. The consistency of the pulse ensures that the exact top of the thread is detected to correct fastener misalignment. Fastening only occurs at the precise angle of thread alignment, another cause of cross-threading. With this data, the exact depth can be determined, allowing for the detection ofn missing washers or even the compression of a liquid gasket.

To learn more about how the Safe-Start Function can reduce fastening time, optimize resources and enhance your quality, please contact fastening.sales@mcmachinery.com or visit www.mcmachinery.com to schedule a demonstration or request additional information.
