Ice cream and novelties combined for over $13.7 billion in sales in 2021, according to NFRA statistics.
Ice cream sales slid last year, ending 2021 with over $7.5 billion in sales, compared to $7.9 billion in 2020 or -6.3% dollar growth YOY. Frozen novelties accounted for $6.2 billion in sales, also dipping from 2020 figures.
Frozen yogurt and novelty fruits were both hot in 2021, posting double-digit gains in dollar growth year-over-year.
