The Eastern Coatings Show (ECS) is set to take place May 13-15 at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. Hosted by the Philadelphia Society for Coatings Technology, the New England Society for Coatings Technology and the Metropolitan New York Coatings Association, the ECS offers educational and technical presentations, a panel discussion, an exhibit hall and networking opportunities. The event’s goal is to help attendees develop a profound understanding of the theory, science, manufacture and marketing of coatings, and to highlight the improvement in coatings performance and functionality beyond traditional expectations.

Frank “Sully” Sullivan, President of DayGlo Color Corp., will be the opening keynote speaker. DayGlo is an operating division within RPM International, and Sully is the 4th generation of Sullivans working in the business that his great grandfather founded in 1947. In his address, titled “Manufacturing in the Age of Social Media: Why Making Stuff Matters,” Sully will share his thoughts on the importance of manufacturing in a world dominated by big tech, AI and social media influencers, and provide perspectives on attracting the next generation of talent into the paint and coatings industry.

The Panel Discussion will cover “Investing Financial and Intellectual Capital in an Ever-Changing Market.” Panelists include Dan Pickard, Chair, International Trade and National Security Practice Shareholder at Buchanan; George Pilcher, Vice President, The ChemQuest Group; and David Witker, Senior Scientist at Benjamin Moore.
