Title: Mechanical Engineer & Project Manager

How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

I started with RHP as an intern in 2018 during the Spring Semester of my Junior Year of college. I took on a full-time position at RHP when I graduated in Spring of 2019.

What drew you into the industry?

While I was in college, I wasn’t initially interested in the industry. After I started my internship with RHP, I became aware of how complex and diverse the PHCP-PVF and construction industry were. I was then drawn in by interesting projects with unique problems and solutions.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

Since I work as both an Engineer & a Project Manager, I find it most rewarding to see a project from concept through construction. Being involved on both the design and installation sides has given me a better perspective of the industry and its challenges.

What motivates you every day?

I am motivated by new challenges. The industry is constantly changing, whether its updated codes, upgrades to equipment or improved install methods. There is always a new challenge to learn and adapt to.

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

The industry is more complex than people outside the PHCP-PVF industry realize. We are involved in not only what brings life to every single building, but also most manufacturing and processing systems. HVAC, plumbing and piping has a hand in many things we are able to enjoy, from cooling and heating in your home to the manufacturing process that produces your favorite foods.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

The proudest moment in my career so far was passing the PE Exam for Mechanical Engineers, which allowed me to acquire my Professional Engineering License.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

I have recently started a garden in my backyard, growing zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, berries, etc. This has been a great way to decompress after a day in the office. Part of the reason the garden is currently thriving is because I was able to retrofit my irrigation system using the technical knowledge I have learned over the years in the PHCP-PVF industry.
