Armstrong Fluid Technology
Compass R circulators
Armstrong Fluid Technology has introduced two new sizes, 40-85 and 60-50, of Design Envelope Compass R circulators. The Compass R is an energy-efficient variable speed dry-rotor circulator. Designed to replace existing fixed-speed circulators, Compass R can be considered a universal energy upgrade for circulators in its capacity range and installation profile. Customers can purchase Compass R circulators to serve applications requiring up to 60 feet of head. The compass features include: a permanent magnet motor with Design Envelope variable speed technology, Posi-start Technology that ensures smooth start-up and pump protection, bolt-for-bolt compatibility with a wide range of installed circulators, quick-release clamp, reduced carbon footprint, easy terminal block access, optimized hydraulics and multiple control options including Auto mode, simplify selection and commissioning.

RIDGID
Self-leveling cameras
RIDGID recently added digital self-leveling to its compact line. The new SeeSnake Compact M40 DSL and C40 DSL complement existing mini and standard options for a full range of digital self-leveling camera reels. The digital self-leveling removes a component that wears in the camera head over time and utilizes software to self-level the image automatically on the screen. RIDGID camera reels with digital self-leveling options include: SeeSnake Compacy M40 DSL (built to navigate 1.5 to 8-inch lines), SeeSnake Compact C40 DSL (built for smooth performance when space is tight), SeeSnake Standard DSL (built for extra strength) and the SeeSnake Mini Pro (designed to inspect up too 200 feet).

Mueller Steam Specialty
Steel butterfly valves
Mueller Steam Specialty has announced the release of its new Series 94 stainless steel butterfly valves, engineered to deliver precise flow control and exceptional durability across a range of demanding industrial applications. These double offset butterfly valves are designed to optimize system performance while minimizing turbulence, making them ideal for use in chilled and technical water loops, particularly in data center environments. The Series 94 valves feature a stainless-steel body and trim for superior corrosion resistance, and a double offset disc design that reduces friction and seat wear — extending the valve’s service life. A bidirectional, zero-leakage RPTFE seat with a patented retainer ring ensures tight shutoff and reliable performance at temperatures up to 500°F.

A.O. Smith
Condensing gas tankless water heater
A.O. Smith’s Adapt+ Premium Condensing Gas Tankless Water Heaters is a family of residential tankless water heaters. With universal indoor and outdoor installation, two- and three-inch dual pipe venting, ½ inch and ¾ inch gas lines and an indoor/outdoor power cord, the Adapt+ tankless water heater brings flexibility in tankless water heating. The unit can be converted in the field from NG to LP with the included kit. The unit’s single stainless steel, heavy-duty heat exchanger design is paired with A. O. Smith’s unique X3 Scale Prevention Technology to ensure it’s resilient to scale build-up and corrosion. The Adapt+ unit operates at high efficiency thanks to a 22:1 turndown rate and a UEF of 0.95, qualifying users for rebates.

Copeland
Compressor platforms
Copeland is launching two compressor platforms. Copeland’s YAW and YAV variable-speed compressor platforms help heat pump manufacturers overcome heating capacity challenges in cold climate applications down to -25 °F, supporting the acceleration of sustainable heat pump adoption. The Copeland YAW and YAV variable-speed scroll compressor platforms are engineered to deliver the heating capacities and efficiencies required to meet the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) strict cold climate heat pump (CCHP) standard. The YAV variable-speed scroll compressor platform extends heat pump capacity ranges to help maintain comfort in ambient temperatures as low as -25 F for residential and commercial applications. In cold climate scenarios, these compressors can overspeed to produce much needed heating capacity.

Viega
Transition couplings
Viega MegaPress Transition Couplings are the first press couplings of their kind to transition between galvanized or carbon steel pipe and copper, PEX or stainless steel in seconds. Available in ½” to 2” sizes, the three couplings are made of zero-lead bronze that can be used to connect dissimilar metals while reducing the risk of galvanic corrosion in commercial, residential and industrial applications. Each feature Smart Connect technology to quickly detect and resolve unpressed connections. The couplings with EPDM sealing elements also carry an NSF-61 rating for potable water.

Taco
Split case pumps
Taco announced the HS Series Horizontal Split Case Pumps. These pumps are ideal for commercial and industrial applications requiring reliable, high-performance solutions. The HS Series features a short shaft design, extending the pump’s operational life and reducing maintenance requirements. Its heavy-duty cast and ductile iron casing ensures exceptional strength and longevity, making it an ideal choice for demanding environments. HS Series pumps are built with a mechanical seal and bearings that are easily accessed without disturbing the top casing, to make maintenance easier. This design minimizes downtime and reduces labor costs. Each pump in the HS Series comes equipped with Taco Tags, a QR code technology that provides instant access to essential product information, including specifications, installation guides and troubleshooting resources, available at the tap of your smartphone.

NIBCO INC.
Y pattern thermostatic mixing valves
NIBCO INC. announced new Webstone Y-pattern thermostatic mixing valves (TMV). The Y-pattern TMV is available in two temperature ranges for water distribution systems and high-temperature hydronic applications, with an optional temperature gauge, or as a body-only G-Series model for a fully custom solution. End connection options include PEX, FIP, MIP, sweat, push, and press, in sizes ranging from ½” to 1”. All products feature lead-free, dezincification-resistant brass and are suitable for plumbing and heating applications.

Johnson Controls
Control modules
Johnson Controls announced the launch of new PENN System 550 C550A web-enabled control modules designed to streamline the transition from analog to digital temperature, humidity and/or pressure sensing within commercial HVAC-R equipment. System 550 C550A is a functional replacement for legacy System 350. PENN System 550 C550A control modules support one temperature, humidity or pressure sensor input and serve as functional replacements for System 350 A350 (temperature), P352 (pressure) and W351 (humidity) control modules, which was recently discontinued. C550A control modules feature a guided setup that allows users to configure the device to match the System 350 control module being replaced. All C550 control modules (C550C and C550A series) provide two-way remote connectivity with an annual subscription to the Johnson Controls optional Controls System Cloud. On-board Wi-Fi connectivity allows authorized users to remotely monitor HVAC-R system health via the PENN Controls System Cloud.
