298 X Asphalt Emulsion • Western Colloid
Western Colloid announced the launch of 298 X Asphalt Emulsion, a product it says “revolutionizes” the restoration of gravel roofs and ponding areas. In a news release, Western Colloid said that its 298 X Asphalt Emulsion contains a proprietary fire-resistant filler that increases the volume solids of the emulsion, making it much more effective as a fill coat over rough surfaces and for building up areas that have ponding water. Western Colloid says it is positioning itself as a leader in developing systems to restore gravel roofs with its 298 Asphalt Flood Coat product, eliminating the need for a costly tear-off and reroof. Among the new products TRUFAST recently launched is the EasySeal Retrofit Roof Drain, which features a unique mechanical seal and custom tool for quick and easy installation. Unlike other retrofit drains, EasySeal does not have sealant tape — which the company said can become exposed during shipping and handling, thus expanding before installation — or multiple screws that can only be accessed with a long screwdriver.
