How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

Since January 2016.

What drew you into the industry?

My father, Rick Freeman. He has owned his own rep agency since 1984, Northeast Sales Group, which was purchased by my current employer, Walter Morris Co.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

Knowing that my knowledge and quick responses make a direct impact in helping my customers, help their customers.

What motivates you every day?

Being able to support and work for a company that I truly love. The McCarthy’s (Joe, Cullen, Patrick and Greg) have all been extremely supportive and welcoming since I joined with my old team from Northeast Sales over three years ago. My customer service team is fantastic to work with and I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to thrive in!

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

The amount of passion people have for their products and services.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

Being able to work with my father before he retires (72 and still going strong!). He has been a huge influence on my life and helped make me the person I am today.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

I lived in West Los Angeles for 8 years before moving back to Boston in December 2015. Every winter I regret that decision!

Jonathan began his career working for a medium sized local wholesaler and subsequently advanced to a major northeast distributor. He then joined a family owned manufacturer's representative firm specializing in showroom products. This company then joined the Walter Morris organization as their Showroom Products Division, with Jonathan as the Showroom Support Manager. His dedication to product knowledge, support of the manufacturers represented and their customers, as well as to the field sales people and inside sales staff is unparalleled. His familiarity with the products represented puts all who contact him for information at ease. He knows what he is talking about and conveys this trust on a daily basis. As new lines have been obtained, he has studied them extensively to be able to provide the support necessary to help close sales and provide information to existing accounts. Although still a young man, Jonathan conveys the maturity of a seasoned veteran.
